Mineral & Bone Disorder in CKD

Mineral and bone disorder in CKD is most serious once it happens in kids as a result of their bones are still developing and growing. Growing kids will show symptoms of mineral and bone disorder even within the early stages of CKD. Slowed bone growth ends up in short stature, which can stay with a toddler into adulthood. One deformity caused by mineral and bone disorder in CKD happens once the legs bend inward or outward, a condition typically stated as "renal rickets”.
